Background:

Cute, pink and full of energy Amy Rose was destined for the limelight. Her spunky attitude won her a role in Sonic CD (1993) where she was known as “Princess Sally”. This name, however, was soon tossed aside for she was mistaken for the female lead Sally Acorn from the TV series, Sonic the Hedgehog. She then went by her childhood name Rosy the Rascal before finally settling with just Amy Rose. Today Amy can be found in just about any Sonic the Hedgehog game. Her passion for the famous Sonic the Hedgehog extends off-screen and gives her acting what Mr. Yuji Naka calls “realism.” “It’s like she’s really reaching out to him… I wouldn’t be surprised if someday she DID get him to marry her.” When asked what his opinion on Amy Rose was Sonic had this to say, “Amy... Amy… Is that the chipmunk chick or the pink one?”

Amy is best known for her acting in the Sonic games. She has been in many titles including the ever-popular Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Adventure 2.  Her most recent acting role is in the upcoming game Sonic Riders.

Amy Rose’s importance in the Sonic franchise landed her a part in the Television series Sonic X.  This Series, originally featured in Japan, is broadcasted worldwide.

Amy’s talent for swinging a hammer extends beyond her gaming role. When she’s not practicing her role for the next Sonic games she’s out playing sports like Croquet and the Hammer Throw. Though some would say her methods of playing are a little odd she never the less has received many awards. In the Olympics she’s currently ranked #8 in the Hammer Throw.

A “helpless romantic” Amy Rose enjoys nothing more than spending quality time with her boyfriend, Sonic. After several more years in show business she said she plans on marrying her beloved and starting a family.
