"For those
of us who can't make a living at it, a good motion picture can make quite
the entertaining distraction."

Manager of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
Partner: Francis Albacore
Background:
Mr. Herriman's origins are somewhat obscure even
to him! But this imaginary friend does tell us that Ms. Foster was hardly
his first child. In fact Mr. Herriman was the childhood companion to the
children of the stars of the silver screen. During his stay he did pick up
a few things on acting and dance. Most notably, he should be noted for his
appearance-or lack there of? -in the movie "Harvey" where he
worked along side James Stewart.
After moving on from that he found himself in the company of aristocratic
families. This is perhaps where he acquired his famous fascination for
rules and order. This is also where he learned ballroom dance, needing to
do so at the parties held by his children's parents. He became quite good
at it, but this skill never went beyond social necessity.
It was then that he met a young Ms. Foster whose wild tendencies he found
frustrating at times. However this odd couple became fast friends and when
the time came Herriman fully expected to be moving on trying to find
another child. That time never came though, and Ms. Foster refused to give
him up. It was then that they decided to start a home for imaginary
friends, a place where they could go and try to find new families. Ever
since Mr. Herriman has been at the helm keeping things in order.
But time and again Mr. Herriman finds himself recalling old memories in
front of the camera and on the dance floor. A time when he could let
himself go for a while and not worry about who was watching.
